Fried ice cream is a dessert made of a breaded scoop of ice cream that is quickly deep-fried creating a warm, crispy shell around the still-cold ice cream. The dessert is commonly made by taking a scoop of ice cream frozen well below the temperature at which ice cream is generally kept, possibly coating it in raw egg, rolling it in cornflakes or cookie crumbs, and briefly deep frying it. The extremely low temperature of the ice cream prevents it from melting while being fried. It may be sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and a touch of peppermint, though whipped cream or honey may be used as well.

The Asian recipe usually uses tempura batter. Mexican versions use corn flakes, nuts, cookie crumbs, or tortillas for coating. In addition the Chinese recipe starts with a large ice cream ball, resulting in a colder core than all other variants. Common flavors in Asian restaurants are green tea, vanilla, taro and red bean.

Its Birthday time!!! Yes, it's my hubby's birthday. My husband is not much of a dessert eater.  This makes it challenging for me to make him fancy birthday treats! One of the few things he does enjoy from time to time is Oreo Biscuts & ice cream. He likes it simple and it must include Oreos and vanilla ice cream, which are not bad requirements really. On surfing, I was pleasantly surprised to find out how easy it was to make an Oreo Icecream cake. I was also surprised that the topping was simply cool whip. I’m not usually a big cool whip fan but it is actually quite good on this cake.
This will make an impressive looking dessert for your next get together. You don’t even have to tell anyone how easy it is to make;-)

Rabri (IASTRābaḍī)Hindiराबड़ी Urdu:ربڑئ, Rajasthaniराबड़ी Gujaratiરાબરી ) is an Indian and Pakistani sweet dish. The quintessential Rabri from Calcutta has probably been handed down from the Rabri that is originally from Varanasi. This very rich dessert is made by heating sweetened milk in a large open vessel (kadhai). As the layer of cream begins to form on the surface of the milk, it is taken off and kept aside. The process continues until the milk is exhausted. The Rabri thus formed is extremely creamy and very heavy on the stomach, but loved by all. Rabri was banned in Calcutta for sometime during the years of milk scarcity because of the fact that it uses up a large quantity of milk.
